Occasionally we like to get on our Veg Crate, over a cup of tea and have a good natter to talk about all the things that are affecting our food. We try to be as sensible as possible here at ALLOT shedquarters, and that means sourcing items for the boxes which help cut it's carbon footprint. Yes I know we post our lovely GYO boxes, but it’s because of that we really try our best to look at helping our environment in other ways, for example our boxes can be tossed on a compost heap after use, leaving no more plastic pots littering your space.
Did we mention that our business is proudly local, oh we did :) ; everything from our design work to the sourcing of our materials is within a bike ride away (within reason of course) and this helps support the local economy. We are happy to say that we have not outsourced any of the packaging offshore, instead opting to use more local British suppliers; more expensive, but we think you can feel the quality of our great British production.
The entire team at ALLOTINABOX® also get involved too, we grow our own vegetables, meaning that we are also working the land, ploughing the goodness back into the local soil and practicing what we preach.
Oh by the way, our junior gardener Christian even uses our ALLOTINABOX® grow wheel to plan when we sow and harvest on our plot!
Here’s the cliché but it’s so true, vegetables and fruits are good and healthy for you, they taste better out of your own patch than from a packet, not to mention the enormous joy and pleasure you get from watching your tomatoes go red & its just great and for the kids…
