Welcome to the ALLOTINABOX® Secret Seed Club, here you'll find information about some of our seeds that secretly go undercover in our Grow Your Own subscription boxes, or occasionally make their way onto our shop throughout the season. The ALLOTINABOX® Secret Seed Club was set up to introduce growers to wider variety of crops, and also to create a little bit of extra excitement about getting you involved in things like growing in containers, plugging seeds into windowsill plots, or even introducing you to some vertical gardening crops.
We kick off Spring's Secret Seed Club with a cracking variety of window box winners, Cherry Belle Radishes!

Growing Salad doesn't stop with lettuce, and this crunchy crop is delicious washed and chopped into all sorts of spring time and summer meals. Radishes are so easy to grow, so we also want to encourage you to get the little people involved in the fast maturing crop, teaching them how this gloriously colourful crop can make it from seed to plate, in just under a month?
Radishes are the perfect building blocks for getting involved in growing, they are often referred to as a 'catch crop' which simply means that they are sown in between the slower growing varieties such as Parsnips.
A pinch of these seeds sown every couple of weeks will keep the crop coming back for months.
Here's our quick guide on getting them started:
If you're lucky enough to receive this little pack of beauties as part of your subscription, or have ordered them through our website, then take a small pinch out of the pack and sow them into a container or windowbox about 1cm deep and 3cm apart. Sow them now in Early Spring to late Summer, and you can make a groove in the soil with an ALLOTINABOX® dibblet, or use your fingers.
